"It's not polite." "That is not the way you have to read." "That's not the way the pencil must be hold" "In a week where we started reviewing the topics on gender socialization of which we are prey and predators ourselves, it is promoting the outcrop of not a few other topics that seemed more like belonging to a time when education was good. "Excuse me? He read as he likes, do not you think? "The seño* says that just is not read" with a vengeance, mockery and sarcasm, of course. Shortly we find the edge of a cliff ready to jump without a parachute, without cushion mattress, wingless (or scars remain of them, if they ever existed in our being), just because someone says it. Ah, no, it turns out that we are already doing.
Tenth day of the strike of workers of Limasa (Málaga cleaning company), and the cliff is right under our noses. We harangue to start the jump, at the same time we blame, insult and denigrate people who are exercising their right to strike for demanding better working conditions and compliance with a court ruling that finds in favor of labor that removes the filth of our sight. By the time we do not support the claims of people for work and dignified conditions, we are also complicit in the fire at the factory where the women were killed by their employer wickedly (New York, March 25, 1911). Yes. We will also burning dignity options above the material benefit of those who subject us. Not so far away, then, that cliff. Happy jump.
Note:
Seño is the short name to call to the female teacher. It makes reference to the marriage status. Why? During the dictatorship, there was a law that stated "only single ladies can be teachers. The moment a lady gets married, she is directly fired". Pupils still use the name to call their female teachers, as if their marriage status count. :D
