Only if ...

I wonder, the only way to support woman equality is by not losing any of the privileges as a man? then I undestand why is such a big issue and so difficult to have 70% of the population against it (50% men and the other 20% women who does not understand it all). That's why I also started to understand why is also so difficult to really fight for everybody's right to live: as long as it does not affect my way of life, I go for it.
After a nice talk to a young boy, I just reached conclusion or reflection that made me think about the feminist issues. There is not just a feminist movement there is not just a feminist claim, well, there is in this case one big claim: equality no matter the sex (as long as sex makes your gender social and legal status in the world). But there is not just one line of thought, not one philosophical and ideological movement under the title of "feminism". That's also where the essence relies on: diversity and variety of reasons, ideas and ways to reach it.
I learnt about how to combat stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination. In order to avoid discrimination, you need laws and legal system that proclaims and fights agains the discriminatory practices in our political systems in term of provide legal coverance and support to the people who suffers from this practice: discrimation based on sex, race, economic or beliefs reasons. For that support, it is advisable to encourage people to run for politics and become active as policy makers people: being in the institutions. Discrimination has to do with practice, with behaviours, with social practices that builds up a divisory wall between types of people and kind of condemn peaceful coexistence among human beings in terms of equality (basic human rights concern). This field of action can lead to the elimination of stereotyping, that is to say, it reinforces the change in behaviours since it offers a model to punish and point out the bad practices based on the common ideas about a group of people, for instance, women, gypsies, negroes and a long list to follow.
To eliminate prejudices and stereotypes that leads to discrimination in society, it is necessary to educate people, to offer the possibility since a human being is growing up and developing her or his personality the opportunity to know and experience an open minded education environment, not only in formal education context, but also in non formal and informal educational systems.

Gender roles? Freedom?

What's freedom? The possibility of being who you decide to be? Is Freedom the possibility to decide, to choose? If we take for granted the destiny, if we admit that there is a kind of predestination, something is written for us, our path is predesigned, if we admit that gender is not a social construction but a fate, a destiny, a question of biology already set, then ... where is freedom in all those labels, preconfigured ways of being, living, thinking ...? Do you believe in Freedom? IF you believe in destiny, you are not the owner of your body, of your life, of your feelings, of your ideas... What is the discussion for, then? What's the point of it all? We'd better go out and travel the world and discover other people's destiny in history while writing yours.

English version

Democracy should be seen as the key to learning outcomes in formal and informal plans study from the earliest years of education. If there is to be government of the people, by people and for people, then there must be educating people on the principles, commitments and practices of democracy.
Teaching democracy is teaching about an influential society. This society recognizes all members, regardless of race, religion, gender, socioeconomic status and skin color. An influential society recognizes diversity among its members and makes people feel they are part of society.
Although a fully inclusive society may never exist, educators should model these ideals and try to eradicate sexism, racism and other harmful components, non-productive, disrespectful and prejudices in society. The basic value that must be promoted in a democracy is respect for human dignity. Education for democracy must give children the opportunity to learn about other cultures and ways of seeing and celebrate our differences and commonalities. Children need to understand that there are different points of view, solutions or apart from their own perspectives. The ability to listen to/as others and accept and respect their views are lessons learned in a class that values democracy. In the end, processes and debates are as important as the result, because people have the opportunity to discuss and debate any issue. A decision or a point of view can not be done without an explanation or clarification of concepts. It is the goal of a democracy convert people to a single point of view, but rather seek common ground, seek a better understanding, look how we can improve our society everyone together.
